Drake & Josh

They had an actor in the show named Stephen Makarian. He was in myscience class in North Quincy High School but left today to go back toCali =[ class was so much fun with him and oh my god he can clap soloud…..sad to say..drake and josh..be good to him..ha ha ha he toldme nd my class that the first episode of him will be on…Thursday?? orWednesday or maybe Friday ha ha i don’t know if that counts Sunday ornot. I can’t believe Steve’s actually gone. I’m kind of going to missthat brunette , tall, loud clapper, glasses wearing buddy of mine. Ihope he’s successful and that life brings him great things along theway.

I'm not too sure why people are complaining that the show is all aboutteens and teenage problems, what else is it going to be about?Nickelodeon is a kid's channel, so you won't find sitcoms like Friendsor Scrubs on it. Yes some plot lines are unrealistic and ridiculous butthat's one of the things that makes it good. Wouldn't it be abit boringif it was more like a soap? From a kid's point of view it's funny,Drake is someone the fans want to be (although not the best rolemodel). Josh is absolutely ridiculous, but that makes it funny too. Mybrother wants to be just like Drake, and to my annoyance tries to bribeme into letting him have a go on my guitar, but he wants to learnsomething new and be creative, surely that's a good thing? And althoughJosh is made out to be uncool and abit of a nerd, but his clevernesshas proved to be cool at times. There are small lessons hidden withinthe stories, like the value of friendship. All in all the show'sabsurdity is what makes it funny and a good show aimed at kids andpre-teens - not adults expecting comedy worthy of Jim Carrey.

I thought that this show would suck like “Zoey101″. But, it turned out alright. Even though some of it is very fake( like putting your sister on the wrong plane, Stealing tony hawks car). But other than that its a good show. But the girls are pretty hot but its far-fetched what drake said like that he’s had 74 girlfriends and that he breaks-up with one every 3 weeks. Thats just stupid. But I also don’t see how Josh can go out with Mindy. Mindys hot. But this show is pretty good, better then “Zoey” or “Unfaboulus”. I would probably rate this show a 7/10. Its good if you like teen comedy. SO, Its probably the best out of all of those.

I was always a big fan of the nickelodeon shows of the early 90’s showssuch as all that, Kenan and Kel, Hey Arnold, rugrats and so many more.but at the end of the decade there were some bad programmes. There arestill some annoying ones. But I have to say I was surprised with this.It is the only good show that nick have made this decade Drake Bell andJosh Peck have great chemistry together as the two step brothers whohave to learn how to live with each other. Of course they are not theonly good characters here. Megan their little sister is evil andhilarious at the same time as she constantly plays tricks on herbrothers and the parents are also good but they could get funnierlines. I would like to see this show stay on the air for a good fewyears more and to see if Nick can make shows to match this.

I love Drake and Josh. It is probably the most funny show onNickelodeon currently, second is SpongeBob Square Pants.

Drake & Josh focuses on two teenage boys who became step-brothers whentheir parents got married. Drake has a little sister, Meagon (MirandaCosgrove) who always plays pranks on them. There are a lot of pro's andcon's with this show. I will list the pro's first.

Most of the time, the show will contain funny parts or lines. The plotis excellent. Though, Josh's girlfriend, Mindy, is quite annoying.Drake is supposedly the cool guy and gets lucky even through his lackof knowledge. Josh is more of a nerdy, yet funny, guy that getsunfortunate even with his great knowledge. Josh, works at a MovieTheatre, and his boss, Helen, likes Drake better than him. The show isawesome, I watch it everyday at 5:30 pm, eastern time.

As for the con's, have you ever been watching a show, and liked whatwas going on, then all of the sudden, something really annoying andunexpected happens that ruins the scene? This show occasionally doesthis. Like Megan's pranks, you wish she would've just stayed out ofthings until the scene was over. One episode I don't like, was the newone where Drake has a concert, and it starts raining, thanks to a falseweather report. That episode seems to be going in slow-motion. They aredoing things, yet they stay in one room, and it seems no progress isbeing made. Another thing, it bugs me how Nick keeps showing the sameepisodes over and over. If I see the one with Josh and Mindy working onthe science fair project again, I am going to keel-haul someone.Lastly, sometimes things they say are not funny, rather just annoyingand soooo idiotic. Like Mindy, Josh's girlfriend, she says little linesthat aren't funny, yet, there goes the laugh track.

But all in all, I agree with some of the other comments about the samejokes being used over and over. The one that annoys me is wheresomebody says "you're the greatest." And the other person says "Iknow!" with a snobbish mentality. Other than that, this is an EXCELLENTshow, as I said, I watch it daily, I find it very funny. If I have seena episode once or twice, I might watch it again. But please, not theScience Fair Project episode or Demonator Roller Coaster episodesagain, Nickelodeon, please get a new wreal (spelling*) of Drake & Joshepisodes.

The best show on Nick in 2005 and 2006 but not in 2007 too cheesy and2004 too young. A funny show, cool, and very good acting. Walter andMegan are great but i wish Megan would be nicer and show a little moreof there mom. Also the role actors are great Helan, Crazy Steve, Ericand Craig, mendy, and of course Mrs. Haffer. They all are very funnyand would make great lead actors. Okay now to the Nick situation. Whatare they thinking get rid of this show it is the 2nd best show on nickright now. {Only Spongebob beats is} This is a show you can build itaround and get great shows to come to Nick. We also seen Invador zim godown the drain and all the good shows in the mid and early 90's. Nickhas the best animated cartoon in the world last 9 years and they can'yimprove any. There shows Jimmy were had there highpoint with win ,loseand kaboom. Fairy Oddparents were it is a nice show. Zoey will probablynot come back for it's 4th season and Ned is probably done whick was agreat show and just jordan horrible, and unfabulous sucks. Nick is likethe Miami Dolphins they had the best weapon Dan Marino they wasted itand that is what Nick is doing with Spongebob Squarepants Sponge hasabout 5 years left Nick better not waste it.

There is one thing to say about Drake and Josh - if you like thecomedy, you'll love this series. Of you don't like the comedy, switchthe channel! Sure, there may be lots of mistakes and trivia, but thisseries always cheers me up when I need it. It shows what typical lifeis like for teenagers who have to live with annoying stepbrothers. Ithink they put the message across very accurately.

I am not annoyed that people may disagree with me. That is because theymay not like the sort of comedy in this, but I fully respect that.Everybody has there own view.

Each character plays their particular part and stay that way throughoutthe series. Their 'role' doesn't change, and their emoticons stay thesame throughout the episodes. I enjoy the series.

Does anyone else think that it's weird that they canceled Drake andjosh after just 4 seasons? I love the show..reminds me of Fresh Princeof Bel-Air which I still consider the best sitcom of all time. Thechemistry between Josh Peck and Drake Bell is great and MirandaCosgrove provides wonderful comic relief. The s
tandard amount ofepisodes for a sitcom to be syndicated is 100 to limit the amount ofrepeats per year, however, for kids shows you can generally get awaywith a min. of 65 so they can run a 13 week cycle of one episode everyweekday which limits the number of repeats to 4 a year. Problemis….they canceled Drake and Josh with only 55 episodes whichbasically spells the end of the show and means that in a few years theywont even play it at all. This really is a shame, Drake and Josh wasone of Nicks best shows and the best watched show for their young teenaudience and many older teens (such as myself at age 14) still enjoyedwatching it cause we had started watching it when we were younger andit had just came out. The only reason that I can come up with regardingwhy they canceled the show is that either Drake Bell or Josh Peckwanted out to move on to "bigger and better things"or possibly becauseof Miranda Cosgroves new show ICarly. However, one can do two shows atone time so I don't think ICarly played that large a roll. Im guessingthat Drake is the one that wanted out because he's really the star ofthe show and probably has a bigger future in Hollywood and the musicbusiness that Josh Peck will. Still I think that it was a big mistaketo cancel and they should have gone at least for a few more seasons…Imean will smith did fresh prince of Bel-air for 6 seasons, until he was23, and after that because he had garnered such a good reputation inthat show he got several roles in blockbuster movies i.e IndependenceDay, Ali, Bad Boys 1&2 etc. Well thats just my two cents, hopefully wewill all see Drake Bell and Josh Peck succeed in whatever movie/TVventures they decide to go into.

Drake & Josh is easily the most promising of TeenNick's many shows. Themajority of the jokes are funny, as they should be, and the actingitself is hilarious, especially from Josh.

The show is really just about two kids whose parents got divorced, thenmarried, and now they live with each other. Drake & Josh are completelyopposite in personality: Josh is sarcastic, uptight, and a bit of anerd while Drake is laid back and cool. Despite their quarrels, whichtend to be hilarious, the two are an inseparable duo and make anexcellent comedic team. Lines are cleverly written by the writers anddelivered with perfection- the timing of each joke is 100% accurate andenhances the jokes. Even small jokes, such as Josh getting scared byDrake by accident, turn into hilarious, side-splitting jokes.

While nearly everything is executed perfectly, there are still a coupleof problems. The first one is the parents. The mother is nearlynon-existent, as I almost never see her on the show, and is theremainly to get characters get along with each other, which neverhappens. The dad shows up a little more often, but unfortunately, he isa clueless airhead who is too unbelievable because of his stupidity.His stupidity is really not that funny, but luckily, he doesn't show uptoo much.

The one character, though, who I absolutely despise, is sister MeganParker. She is the queen of all brats, and I can't stand her presenceon the screen because she is so evil and mean and literally NEVER getsin trouble for the wrongs she's committed. She gets away witheverything and loves every minute of it, and I get so steamed when Isee her. This is such a downfall in the show, it decreases much of theshow's credibility. Megan isn't as bad in some of the newer episodes,but I still don't like her character.

So far Drake & Josh has run pretty smoothly, getting better and betteras it goes. The future of the show is questionable- I've heard rumorsit has been canceled- but nothing is written in stone yet. I'm hopingthe show continues to go instead of quitting while its ahead, becauseit is easily one of the best sitcoms developed in the 00's. 7.5/ 10.

Drake and Josh is one of the few good shows on nick today. In fact, itmight be the only good show besides spongebob (pre-season five) and thenew iCarly. Unlike many new nick shows which mainly focus on stupidthings, D&J focuses more on what old nick shows used to be about,entertaining the audience and giving them what they want to see. Whatis remarkable about this show is that it parallels an old show on nickKeenan and Kel. Both shows focus on close friends or brothers alwaysgetting into these plots that always fail in the end. However, K&K hada broader approach to these clichés. While D&J mainly focused on teenrelated subjects such as dating, girls, etc. But not as much as othershows on new nick. Some of these episodes tend to repeat themselves andit gets really old. Another thing that is annoying in the show is D&J'slittle sister Megan (who is played by Miranda Crossgrove who now starsin icarly, where she is surprisingly good). In almost every episodeMegan does the same things, gets away with them and it gets old andannoying. Only in a recent episode did she actually get in troublewhich is a good change in the shows clichés. Another thing that tendsto drag this show to where shows such as Zoey 101 and Just Jordan dwellin is Drakes obsession with girls. Unlike kenans obsession with money,drake pretty much dates ten girls in a week. This is funny at first butgets really annoying. In K&K you had Keenan focusing on girls in justseveral episodes and his plots fail in all of them until he startsdating one in the end of the series. Despite these draw backs, D&J hasmany great themes that make it a 90s nick show, just airing in thewrong decade. One of these themes is Drakes stupidity (which is likeKels clumsiness in K&K) and Josh's geeky nature which really makes eachand every one of them unique. Every time Drake screws up, Josh snaps atdrake much like how Keenan snaps at Kel. In the beginning it wasusually Drake who gets made at Josh but around the end of season oneand early season two that has sort switched around. And that cliché iswhat made Drake and Josh the most popular show on nick. Another thingthat is good about this show is that it has some adult humor in it.Such as the episode where Drakes girlfriend is hitting on josh andframing him to make drake think that josh is trying to steal hisgirlfriend, Drake makes a gay joke at josh saying "your pretty too" ina perverted tone of voice. Though not much is seen of this in therecent episodes, it still makes D&J a great show. And it is the onlyone thats keeping in touch with nick, otherwise i wouldn't be watchingnick today even thought 95% of it has become total crap.

So in conclusion Drake and Josh is an excellent show despite somedrawbacks. For me its one of the few shows I watch on nick today afterned's declassified got canceled.
